SUMMER WEEKEND IN WARSAW & CRACOW   July 1 - 5, 2011

Everyone can fall in love with Poland. Warsaw & Cracow - cities chosen for this musical journey have many magical places. Places being a reason why most of the tourists, who have been here before, come back with pleasure.

Warsaw became a metropolis next to other European cities, which have to be visited. An extraordinary city, in which historic buildings, palaces, churches, destroyed during the IIWW were reconstructed with great care. Nowadays Warsaw is a lively arts centre and country`s cultural capital with numerous theatres, concert halls, museums and galleries. All that contributes to its high-quality cultural offerings.

Cracow is, culturally, one of the richest cities in Europe. Named City of Culture in the Millenium Year, the heart of Cracow has additionally been declared a World Heritage Site. As soon as you arrive in its stunning medieval town centre, with its famous Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), Wawel Castle, and vast central square (The Rynek), you'll understand why.

Friday July 1st

Individual journey of the participants to Warsaw. Gladly we are helpful with the reservation of the tickets and flights. Arrival in Warsaw airport and transfer to the hotel. In the early afternoon a short sightseeing of the Old Town Square. Lunch in one of the specially chosen local restaurants in this part of the city. In the evening transfer to the performance at Warsaw Chamber Opera House. Dinner in the National Opera building.
 
Saturday July 2nd
After breakfast depart for a tour of the Warsaw Royal Palaces. Morning visit to the Royal Castle and just after that visit to the beautiful Wilanov Palace and park, summer residence of Jan III Sobieski often known as the Polish Versailles. Following the tour, lunch in a local restaurant. Evening performance in Warsaw Chamber Opera House. After performance dinner in the historic interiors of the New Oranges at Royal Park.
Sunday July 3rd
In the morning we visit the birthplace of Frederic Chopin, manor house at Zelazowa Wola, where we see a concert of some of his early works. After we continue to Nieborów palace and Arkadia gardens. Lunch in a local traditional restaurant. Afternoon return to Warsaw. In the evening transfer from the hotel to the train station (first class train to Cracow ). Transfer to hotel Sheraton. Late dinner in a specially chosen local restaurant.
 
Monday July 4
Visiting Wawel Castle, Cloth Hall, Main Square with Mariacki church and its most famous of all the momuments here - Veit Stoss's extraordinary altar-piece. After lunch leisure afternoon for independent sightseeing. Evening clezmer concert in the historic Jewish part of the city called Kazimierz.
Tuesday July 5
After breakfast a drive with horse-cabs - quick view on The Slowacki Theatre, Barbican, St Florian's Gate and the Medieval Wall. After lunch transfer to Cracow train station or Cracow airport and/or return to Warsaw. Late afternoon/evening - transfers to Warsaw airport.
